Sirius Spit-Up

Overall Michelle and I have been blessed to have a child who is very happy and healthy (other than his seemingly constantly changing ailments over the last few weeks).  But he does have one habit that is slightly less than enjoyable, spitting up.  If you haven’t had kids it is totally awesome when you’re holding your little bundle of joy and then, without warning, you are covered in an thin, smelly, white substance (well, white until they start eating real food, then it is carrot, pea, or sweet potato colored).  There’s just no way to put that feeling into words.

This last week my brother told me about something that made me want to spit-up.  There is a commercial for Sirius satellite radio (tried to find a link to it but couldn’t) where a husband and wife are at a restaurant celebrating their fifth anniversary.  She pulls out her gift for him, which is a Sirius radio with Howard Stern loaded on it.  Well, he’s thrilled.  He babbles on like a infantile bafoon about how great Howard Stern is and how much he loves his wife.  Then you see the waiter coming out of the kitchen with a cake.  The husband looks at the waiter and shakes his head “no.”  Then they cut to a picture of the cake, which says, “I want a divorce.”  And that’s when I spit up.  That is probably the most disturbing commercial I’ve ever seen.  Topping Bod body spray, Tag body spray, and Frank “the strong arm” Azar.

I’ve never boycotted anything in my life, and I can’t really boycott Sirius anyway because I don’t have it and never planned on getting it, but I wish I did want it so I could boycott it.  That’s it, I’m adding it to my Christmas list and then calling everyone to tell them I don’t want it anymore!

You nailed it. The "strong arm" is horrible.

I have seen the commercial several times and I think it clearly shows the cultures view of divorce. Horrible!

Maybe we should bring in the Strong Arm against Sirius.

AZAR's strong ARM could definitely slam Sirius!
